Community Mobilization
For Education Reform
We manage education efforts and special projects to accelerate towards Urban Education Reform. Here are some of the projects we manage and could replicate to serve in other areas.
Together Chicago Education
SEL-Plus manages the education sector of Together Chicago. Through our mobilization efforts, Together Chicago (with various Chicago-based partners) serve over 100 Chicago schools. All active initiatives work towards transforming the culture of schools in Urban communities plagued by poverty.
Obama Foundation
SEL Plus leads mentoring work in elementary schools nearest the new Obama Presidential Center (expected Summer 2026). SELvie is used to track to success of mentoring connections and to make necessary changes to enhance student impact.
My Brother's Keeper Chicago
SEL+ with SELvie is running the "Chi OY" program. Through this program, we are working with community organizations to support Boys and Young Men of Color (facing unique challenges) to excel. This program ensures each student gets mentoring and wrap-around-support according to their unique needs.

HOW IT WORKS
SEL-Plus empowers adults who impact children - parents, school staff, and community-based mentors.
We train adults to support social-emotional and mental health, of students, through coaching experiences and short educational videos. Our Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) video resources are separated by SEL topics and grade levels and are now embedded in our app SELvie. Our training promotes on the ground SEL work, that advances pro-social behaviors, for a thriving youth impact and school cultures.
SEL-Plus provides the best SEL training experience for the adults who care for our children. We are introducing SEL to AI to ensure our resources are tailor made to meet the unique needs of students.
School Districts
We will train your parents, school staff, and mentors to offer effective SEL to reduce adult stress and increase student success. Our SEL themes allow the adults to have unified language and strategies to best support students.
We are also ready to deploy our community mobilization training to support your district's vision.
Teachers
